The erstwhile DSP Solar Initiative (DSP-SI) has been transitioned into a formal legal corporate entity and is hereby incorporated as Norion Renewable Energy Limited (NREL) in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act of Bhutan, 2016. NREL is established as a Public Limited Company under the aegis of the Desuung Skilling Programme (DSP), His Majesty’s Secretariat (HMS).

The name “Norion” is derived from the combination of Nor (symbolizing wealth and prosperity) and ion (signifying energy and technology), thereby reflecting the Company’s vision and mandate to advance sustainable and innovative energy solutions in the Kingdom of Bhutan through the skilling of Desuups.
